SUNDAY SCHOOL: Pre K – 6th grade, 9:00 a.m. weekly during the school year

Sunday School meets weekly during the school year for ages 3 through 6th grade, from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. If you have questions about becoming involved in this, reach out to Kirsten!

OASIS: 7th & 8th grade, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. once a month during the school year

Oasis is an event meant for 7th and 8th graders to join to refresh and fellowship! We cook supper together and then spend time playing games. Any person in 7th and 8th grade is welcome to spend the evening with us!

WEDNESDAYS

HOSANNA CHOIR (K-6th grade)

3:20 p.m. – Hosanna Choir meets weekly September-March

Hosanna choir is our singing and bell ringing choir for students in grades K-6 and older youth who would like to be music mentors. Join us on Wednesdays from 3:20-4:00 p.m. to sing and ring our joyful praises! If you like snacks, singing, and playing instruments, we need you (and your friends)! If you have any questions about being a part of Hosanna choir, contact Sara  (sara.harbacheck@gmail.com). 

CONFIRMATION (7th & 8th grade)

5:30 p.m. – Confirmation class meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Wednesdays during the school year

Our confirmation ministry is designed to help the parent(s) as they share with their child what is means to be a baptized child of God and so that they might become disciples for Christ. Our confirmation ministry begins in 7th grade where students delve deeper in the Bible, the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s prayer and the sacraments.

YOUTH GROUP (9th-12th grade)

7:30 p.m. – Youth group meets weekly on Wednesday during the school year.

Youth group will always be a safe place to learn, grow, question, wrestle with personal faith, invite friends, and so much more.  ALL 9th – 12th grade students, regardless of where they are in their faith journey, are welcome here!

NEED A WAY TO EARN SILVER CORD HOURS?

GLC has many opportunities for high school youth to volunteer. These are just a few of the options:

  • Teach a Sunday school class
  • Help with Hosanna Choir
  • Assist with Lutheran World Relief personal care or school kit drives
  • Come to a quilt tying event
  • Pack bags for Backpack Buddies
  • Assist with yardwork, cleaning or organization projects at the church
  • Assist with cemetery grounds maintenance
